Our Dogs have been very important part of our life. We got our first dog, a dachshund, right after we moved into our Pine Island home in 1975. Her name was Rory. She was killed by a car chasing the car across the quiet street we lived on. We soon got another dachshund, Cassie who was with us a a long time. Them came another dachshund, Heidi, and her daughter Hilde. Then we got Lucy, a Beagle/collie mix from the Eau Claire pound. Then there was Sidney our first St. Bernard, Ralph, a Border Collie/lab mix we found as a small puppy wondering on the road by our house on Pipe Lake. Cassey came to us one April and just moved in. He was a Springer who we think was being gun trained and hated the noise so he ran away. Then Sydney died and we got the sweetest dog of all, Matty, a gentle giant St. Bernard who ws with us for 11 years of love. We got Roney, a Labradoodle, who was the last of his litter and about 9 months old. He was a wild one. Then we gotr Lucy, a miniture dachound, wh was Lynda's mother's dog. More on the Dogs.

I am a member of the Barron County Model Railroad Club. We have a train layout that we take to Model Railroad Shows in the region. I am also involve with the Colfax Railroad Museum. and the Chippewa Valley Motor Car Association.

Being true to my forebears, I am trying to model the Great Northern and Northern Pacific Railroads. See it atTrains.

I am a long time member of the ,Great Northern Historical Society and the Northern Pacific Railway Histroical Society.

We Love to Travel

We love to travel! We have been to every state except Deleware and Rhode Island and every Provence except Newfoundland and the Northwest Territories. We have been to Eaurope a number of times and to Peru twice. See our Travel Pages.
